Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with Engineer Ahmed El-Assar, Chairman of Arab Contractors Company, to review the execution status of the projects under the presidential initiative “Hayah Karima” (Decent Life), which focuses on developing rural Egyptian villages. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Housing, the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, as well as the National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater.
This meeting comes as part of the minister’s ongoing series of periodic follow-ups to monitor the progress of “Decent Life” projects. The goal is to track developments across various governorates and present detailed updates to ensure the swift completion and activation of these projects.
The minister emphasized that these projects hold significant value as they directly impact the daily lives of citizens and contribute to improving their overall quality of life.
During the meeting, the minister stressed the importance of unifying efforts and utilizing all available resources to complete the targeted village projects within the presidential initiative according to the set timelines, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He also highlighted the need for intensified efforts by the executing companies, the preparation of weekly performance reports, regular site visits, and continuous coordination among all relevant authorities to ensure tangible progress and full commitment to the established deadlines.
The meeting also discussed the implementation status of projects carried out by Arab Contractors, with a focus on all ongoing works under the National Authority, including village sanitation projects, wastewater treatment plants, and pumping stations currently under construction.
