Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and delivered a message from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi that included proposals to strengthen bilateral relations and preparations for the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting scheduled to be held in Cairo in 2026.

Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Abdelatty conveyed Egypt’s condolences to Turkey over the victims of the military plane crash, affirming Egypt’s solidarity with Turkey.
Abdelatty also highlighted the positive momentum in Egyptian-Turkish relations over the past two years, emphasizing the importance of following up on the outcomes of the Joint Planning Group meeting and enhancing economic cooperation through preparations for the Businessmen’s Forum and the development of mutual investments. The goal is to increase trade exchange between the two countries to $15 billion within five years.
