Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with Engineer Ahmed El-Assar, Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, to discuss the progress of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” aimed at developing Egypt’s rural villages. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Housing, the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, and the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage.
This meeting comes as part of the regular follow-ups conducted by Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny to monitor the implementation progress of the “Decent Life” initiative, in coordination with the ministry’s relevant authorities and the executing companies. The review process includes analyzing the implementation status in each governorate across the country to ensure that projects are completed as quickly as possible and become operational—directly improving citizens’ lives and enhancing their quality of living.

During the meeting, the Minister of Housing stressed the importance of uniting efforts and utilizing all available resources to complete the “Decent Life” projects according to the planned schedule. He confirmed that this aligns with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, emphasizing the need for intensified work by the executing companies and the submission of weekly progress reports to track project advancement.
The discussion also highlighted the necessity of regular on-site inspections and continuous coordination between the Ministry’s officials and the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage to achieve the required progress and adhere to specified deadlines.
The meeting also reviewed the current implementation status of the Arab Contractors Company’s projects, focusing on the ongoing construction of sanitation projects in the villages, as well as the treatment plants and pumping stations being developed by the National Organization.
