Minister of Housing Follows Up on the Implementation of Marina 8 Projects

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, followed up on the progress of the “Marina 8” projects, which are being developed on a total area of approximately 179 feddans. These projects include the construction of chalets, villas, and residential buildings in addition to the development of the southern lakes of Marina. The Minister emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring and regular site visits to ensure smooth progress of the works, along with the provision of essential services to enhance the quality of life for residents in the area.

In this context, the Minister pointed out that the North Coast is witnessing the implementation of many major development projects, most notably New Alamein City, in addition to other urban communities such as Ras El-Hekma and the West Dabaa area. He stressed that these efforts reflect the government’s commitment to continuing the development of this vital region.

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny also highlighted the necessity of completing all works according to the specified timelines and required quality standards, while adhering to occupational health and safety regulations to ensure the safety of workers during project execution.

For his part, Dr. Engineer Mohamed Khalafallah, Head of the Tourist Villages Authority, inspected the implementation of utilities in the Marina 8 project, accompanied by several officials from the New Urban Communities Authority, the city authority, the project consultant, and representatives of the supervising companies.

Minister of Housing Follows Up on the Implementation of Marina 8 Projects

Khalafallah explained that the “Marina 8” project is being developed on an area of around 179 feddans, with 104 feddans allocated for chalets and villas and another 75 feddans for additional zones. He added that the project includes the construction of 243 buildings comprising approximately 917 units, distributed among various models of villas, chalets, and residential buildings.

The Head of the Tourist Villages Authority reviewed the project works, which include buildings, façades, landscaping, and service roads, in addition to overseeing the implementation of essential infrastructure such as roads, water, sewage, irrigation, and electricity networks, as well as landscaping works. He also reviewed the master plan of the project’s utilities to ensure smooth workflow and progress in execution.

Dr. Khalafallah and the authority’s officials also inspected the development works of the main connecting channel, which links the northern Marina lakes with the southern expansion lakes (New Marina). They discussed the future work plan aimed at accelerating the project’s completion before the start of the summer season.

The Head of the Authority noted that the southern lakes project includes two pumping stations, two pressure and circulation pipelines, in addition to two water tunnels that allow the passage of marine units with a width of 15 meters. These lakes are being developed over a total area of 820,000 square meters. He confirmed that the daily excavation rate is steadily increasing to achieve the required progress.
