Issue No. 31 (Supplement C) of the Official Gazette published the decision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regarding Law No. 166 of 2025, which grants authorization to the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to conclude an agreement with the Egyptian General Authority for Mineral Resources and Mining Industries, along with Centamin Central Mining Company, for the extraction of gold ore and associated minerals in the Sukari sector.
According to Article One of the decision, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources is authorized to contract with the mentioned entities to exploit natural resources of gold and its related minerals in the Sukari sector. This is to be carried out in accordance with the legal framework and the conditions stipulated in the agreement attached to the decision.
